A killingis there to be made for the free lance instructor. apparently Niseko Adventure Centre is looking for indtructors too..
ant 0
Don't keep us in suspense! How do we get in touch with these people? (I'm desperate to avoid being stuck back in an office this summer, thanx to the US visa timing changes).
enderzero 0
little bird, Is that ski instructors only or ski and snowboard instructors?
talisker 0
you probaby want to check out this website, or drop them a line. www.nac-web.com There are loads of snowboard instructors here - ski instructors is definitely where the shortage is.
ant 0
Well, I've zotted something off to NAC. We'll see. I am not sure that I'm adventurous enough to just "turn up" and be a freelancer! And too old to score a working holiday visa. (totters off with walking stick - that's why i ski, you get poles to lean on!).

ant 0
too late, I'd already emailed, same email addy. Hmmm, interesting info on the snow japan page though. It's foreigner-owned...interesting. Well, we'll see if he replies. It sure is hard tracking down instructing jobs over in Japan!
spin 0
Any one find any jobs? i hear positions are still available... Maybe it's just worth turning up and asking around. Only expensive thing is buying your own Hirafu lift pass, 87,000 yen...
jared 0
hey, I worked as a ski instructor there a few seasons ago. There were three rafting companies all owned by aussies that all do ski/snowboarding instructing in winter. there was (and probly still is) plenty of friction between them so if one company brings you there they wont like you working for the others. the best idea is to turn up and approach them all letting them know you are available. if you can, get a cell phone before you get there. if you want more details mail me jared.siem@japan.emil.ne.jp
