SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 180 Posted July 4 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted July 4 2025-2026 Japan ski season: Early season ski area openings Updated regularly (last update on Saturday 15th November 2025) During the early part of the 2024-2025 ski season (late October through mid-December 2024), we kept track of ski area openings as they happened. The list was updated multiple times daily and can be found here. We are doing the same for the 2025-2026 ski season. Planned opening dates for (most) ski areas throughout Japan, along with the actual dates from past seasons, can be found on the individual ski area listing pages within SnowJapan (here is one example). As the ski season approaches, more specific dates will be announced and we will update our listings. We will also be gradually checking and updating season specific details (lift ticket prices, facilities, etc) for each ski area in Japan. That updating process usually takes us into mid-December. (More insight on the process here).
