frannyo 2
These days everything seems to be Niseko or Hakuba. What about Zao dudes? Anyone else a fan? I love the place, been there quite a bit in the last year lovely area.
woywoy 0
So how is it up there Frannyo? I have some friends in Sendai so I might come up to Zao next time I am in Sendai... how far is it? Does it get lots of snow and powpow?
IIIII 2
It gets a lot of snow and good snow at that. Big place, famous for having lots of different owners who can't "come together". Also famous for Snow Monsters. Theres some reviews in the review section of this site, some people find there too many level road type runs to get from one are to another. Still a very popular place tho'. Here you go, 23 review! http://www.snowjapan.com/e/voice/other_resort_review.php?resortName=Yamagata%20Zao%20Onsen Enjoy
rajeem 0
It's one of the more popular and well known resorts in Tohoku right. A bit far, but I would very much like to go.
Will Lee 0
What about Miyagi Zao Sumikawa? Has anyone been there? Thinking about checking the place out later on in Feb or Mar. From what I know it only has 3 lifts..can that be right(the place seems fairly big)? Also, in the map I saw more courses on the very top of the mountain but no lift heading up that way shown..what gives? Any info would be appreciated. mtia
