Family Resorts in Niigata

It's been a while but I've got two kids now, one who I have taken to Gala, and the other who will go to Gala Yuzawa in a few weeks. I was just wondering about what other resorts people would recommend for families in the Yuzawa area. I want to be able to ski/snowboard while the kid(s) is(are) having lessons too, but then be able to ski/snowboard together after the lesson has finished.

Thanks in advance.

Don't know what the situation is with lessons this season but places that I see as NOT being family ones are:

Joetsu Kokusai

Perhaps Iwappara?  Or Yuzawa Park or Yuzawa Nakazato?

There's Myoko of course but I don't know that area as well.

I have mostly skied Nagano with my kids over the last 20 years. Norikura, Cortina and Tsugaike are all pretty good for beginners, the former two having large hotels at the base of the mountain.
