Steep in Hokkaido

Question

In the Niseko topic I just mentioned I can't get past the lack of steep there as much as I loved the snow.

I was wondering. Are there any ski-jo in Hokkaido that have a good bunch of steep runs to enjoy?

I think it's pretty safe to say that if steep is what you're after, Hokkaido really isn't the region you should be zoning in on.

We had our first trip to Japan in January.

We knew about Hokkaido not specialising in steepness but we wanted to see Hokkaido, experience the snow and see the snow festival in Sapporo. So we did 6 days there and then came down to Nagano for 7 days making it a mash up of places. It proved to be a good mix and we're glad we planned it like that and experience the best of both.

Loved Japan, can't wait to visit again next year and already making plans!

We loved our time in Hokkaido but next year we are going to go for a change and are thinking about some places in Nagano/Niigata.

The snow hasn't been as consistent down there though by the looks which is a bit of a worry.
