NEW - Observed snowfall tables and graphs

Over the last few months we have been working on a few new things for SnowJapan, and today are very happy to be able to put one of those new things online.

And here it is:

Observed Japan snowfall tables and graphs

http://www.snowjapan...d-snowfall-data

What's that then?

It's a bunch of graphs and tables that brings together existing 'observed snowfall data' from all of our 'Now' daily reports on SnowJapan.

It's updated in real-time, as and when our daily reports are posted and covers data from this season and also the 13/14 season (where available).

What this is doing is bringing together existing data and sprinkling some 'fun'ctionality over the top of it that lets you sort and compare it all.

Want to know how the snowfall is comparing with last season?

And at each stage of the season?

Want to know which of the 'Now' regions has seen the most observed snowfall at base this season so far?

Or the most snowfall at base this month?

Or the most snowfall at base over the last 7 days?

On any given day.

Want to compare the data from the different Now reports in Nagano?

Or compare the data from the different Now reports in Hokkaido?

Or compare Nagano with Niigata?

Or....compare the data from any Now report(s) with any of the other Now report(s)?

Now you can!

VERY IMPORTANT ----- MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS:

We ask everyone looking at the page to be sure to read some very important information about the data - as well as an explanation of some of the functionality on the page - here:

Hope you enjoy using it.

We have added the relevant table of data to each of the individual Now report pages.

There's now also links taking you to the new page on all of the Now reports.

Ah March already. Still, lots of daily reporting to do.

Just to let you know... we have noticed how as we have entered March the graphs for this season are not acting exactly as we would like them too - cumulative chart going down to zero for April! - and we will by trying to get that fixed up as quickly as possible.

Thanks.

One or two eagle-eyed folk might have noticed the total observed snowfall on the Kiroro Now report going down suddenly.

Don't worry, it's not part of some kind of conspiracy - we simply noticed that a few reports back in early season had been double posted, and so we have taken out the incorrect double posting where they existed.

:friend:

Apologies for not noticing that before now.
