Shatterhand 0
Hi folks. Good to find this place. Do you generally go for day trips or stays?
Ocean11 0
Good topic Shatterhand. (Painful handle - do you have much experience of that then? ) Living in Nagano, one day trips are fairly easy, but I'd still love to be able to flop down in a nearby hotel sometimes. neversummer 0
For those doing the day-trip thing try and organise a crew and hire a car. soooo much cheaper than a train..music..scenery instead of tunnels etc.
cal 6
I'd love to be able to do day trips but can't really, the day would end up being a very long one - it's just be too tiring.
newtoallthis 0
I think I will be in the 1 night or more stay category.
green 0
I'm new to it all too, and plan to do some stop over trips.
Curt 1
Day trips whenever possible. I wish I lived close enough to be able to do that all the time. What a life that must be.
wakaran 1
I need a hotel and some 'real' breakfast.
nagoid 4
Day trips for the most part. One of the goodies about living in Nagano.
echineko 1
I think it is depend on place, but usually I must stay overnight. I am too tired for travel too much in only 1 day including snowboarding.
nagoid 4
...but if I want to go further afield I stay of course. Funny, I enjoy that a lot - maybe I should try it nearer home too and make more of a holiday out of it.
damian 0
I just went for a saturday day trip.... but the snow was SO DAMN FANTASTIC that I just had to stay the night. Sleep-overs rule the weekend in my book.
scouser 4
Stay overs for the most part. Depends on the bank account at a particular time too.

Shatterhand 0
Pretty much even split hey. I'm going up to Zao next week, I'm really looking forward to that.
joshnii 2
Living in Niigata I can often get away with day trips, but sometimes that not possible for places further away. I do like to stay in decent places though, once we stayed in a dump in Hakuba and it was just awful. I really hated that.

barok 0
70% day, 30% overnight, when I do stay overnight, it is to avoid the morning traffic along the way to nozawa, or to party.
