green 0
I'm interested in this, was wondering what the best time of day you more-experienced-members recommended. Is it worth getting up reallll early to be first on the hills or not? Thanks Ross
Oh-Hairy-One 0
First runs definitely worth the effort.
Ocean11 0
Unless it happens to be dumping, snow conditions don't usually improve with time. Besides, getting up in the dark means you get to see the mountains turn pink and gold in the dawn - always a fine sight.
snowboard_freak 0
As Oceanhas said, first runs are wroth the effort, unless its dumping. But even when its dumping the crowds will build later on. Get out there for first runs for sure!
Fattwins 0
First turns if you think there is powder but in the spring dont rush it. The snow will be great usally around 930 or 1030 to about 130 or 230 maybe turning to mush or ice.
cheeseman 1
Avoid lunchtime when all the cheese fans are going for their nutrition fix.
IIIII 2
Go at lunchtime to avoid Cheeseman
zwelgen 0
get outta bed early to get the first runs, have an early lunch around 1130 and back out around 12 when the other people are eating in what seems to be a designated lunch time 12 - 1 and the slopes are empty. If you get there earlier you get tired sooner so go home a little earlier and beat the traffic. On a powder day get there to make you own tracks. Well worth getting up early for. scoobydoo 0
Of course the first reun is up there, but I like lunch time too. All the Japanese seem to go at the same time. Why is that. I think I will make a new thread.
