pie-eater 207
A bit early but... This is the place for all pies and beer (and kebabs and Chinese and Indian) reports from our summer hols. I will of course gambarimasu from North West England (hopefully including Mold), but anyone else is very welcome to join in. Gambaro!
Tubby Beaver 209
I just had 2 kebabs from Ali Babas in Sapporo.....the only good thing about small Japanese kebabs are having two of them!!
Karnidge 2
The "kebab" i had in Japan was a piece of chicken, some lettuce, a bit of sauce... in some pitta(iful) bread.
ethanbaggett 2
That sounds delicious! I love those foods..
BagOfCrisps 24
When they'd done good! Never tried one in Japan, but love them here. You can find pretty goddam awful ones though, that even look bad when you're drunk.
muikabochi 208
You really must try very hard to get to Mold.
634-maru 4
When can we expect the first reports?
pie-eater 207
I'm here! If I don't fall asleep first, I may well have a few pints this evening.
pie-eater 207
First beers and a visit to my very favourite chippy (I know it's the same every year, but it's jolly well oishii and first port of call! I bet Mr Abe's looking on in envy. I heard rumours that Shakey has been here too). I always ask for 'a lot' and they cram it on so the steak pie is hiding in there. None of that arty farty posh minimalism here. Tribute Cornish Ale. Jolly tasty it was too.
Tubby Beaver 209
I'm excited by-proxy!!

big-will 7
That pear cider is really nice. I remember you posted that before and I went and tried it.
Tubby Beaver 209
Kopperburg cider is good as well....comes I a bunch of flavours....very refreshing on a hot summers day. Seiyu sell decent cider over here. Also Kirin has started to sell "hard cidre" in draught that isn't too bad in a Strongbow type way
Metabo Oyaji 71
Nice pie, from what can be seen. You must be busy fueling up for your excursions to Mold and Runcorn Ski Centre.

muikabochi 208
Good old Next. I see you can actually buy Next stuff online now they have a Japanese site!
Tubby Beaver 209
They've had that for a number of years, I buy stuff off of them all the time. The big problem is that you can't use a British (or overseas) credit card that's not assigned to your Japanese address....you have to use a Japanese one
