rach 1
Not the most exciting of games for us, that's for sure.
pie-eater 207
Not live early morning matches.... huge part of the enjoyment sucked out right there.
Thundercat 60
Bog brush comes through for ManYoo!
grungy-gonads 54
Credit to him, great goal. But he's still a bit shite isn't he. And smells of Moyes, who hopefully will get a job somewhere and offer to pay an obsene amount for him.
NoFakie 45
First big test for ManYoo next week against Chelsea. 1am kickoff, but it's after Newcastle so I might still be up. Tottingham away for us, so we'll probably get shafted.
Thundercat 60
The broader picture shows that they have only one point more on the board than they did at the same stage last season, by which point David Moyes had come up against Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City.Van Gaal, in contrast, could hardly have wished for a more benign start to the season. The serious business is about to begin. United face Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal in three of their next four games and there will need to be a major improvement in their defending if they are to come through that run unscathed. Serious business indeed! (expect for Arsenal, of course!)
grungy-gonads 54
Damn, I wish David Moyes was still our manager. Looking back, we definitely missed a real chance there.
ShinyDiscoBall 2
Looking forward to the game.
ShinyDiscoBall 2
Moyes took over the champions of England. LvG took over a bunch of losers.
Tubby Beaver 209
Moyes took over the champions of England. LvG took over a bunch of losers. And spent 150 million quid
Thundercat 60
Comparing the team now to when Moyes took over is a bit ridiculous really.
grungy-gonads 54
If only we had given Moyes more time.
Tubby Beaver 209
Perhaps you should just sack Van Gaal now, best not to give him time
grungy-gonads 54
You're right.
Thundercat 60
As long as ManYoo keeps drawing with the likes of West Brom and then VanGal calls it the best they've played all season I think he should stay. Definitely give him more time!
grungy-gonads 54
Absoltely!
Thundercat 60
Moyes took over the champions of England. LvG took over a bunch of losers. LvG also made the worst start to a Man United season in the history of the team.
grungy-gonads 54
Sounds like he's rubbish. Is Moyes available?
pie-eater 207
There were so many positive signs with Moyes, weren't there. United consistently improvedduring his reign, with the team 'jellying' and morale on the up. He made those magnificent signings too, with other top talent lining up to join him. It was all looking like it was coming together, when the rug was jolly well pulled from under him. Quite why, ....well it's all jolly confusing.
Tubby Beaver 209
Like the 150 million pounds worth of signings LVG has made? 1 pt better off than under Moyes, despite Man U still to play Chelsea, Arsenal and another of the big teams that they had already played at the same time last season. People were calling for Moyes' dismissal this time last year, but not Van Gaal's? I still think Van Gaal will get them there, he's a good coach, great track record.....but same problems as moyes at the mo.
NoFakie 45
He made those magnificent signings too, with other top talent lining up to join him. I don't know if they are top talent, but Moyes lined up Herrera and Luke Shaw, who they signed after sacking him. From the bids in the summer after Moyes joined, it appears that his main target though was Fabregas.
