xxx 2
Well, I thought it was the law....that shops had to show the price including tax. But it seems that lots of places are showing price before tax added now, like it used to be here.
Metabo Oyaji 71
A temporarily modification to the law was made while consumption taxes are changing. The modification is in effect until March 31 2017, after which price tags have to go back to showing tax-included prices.

634-maru 4
I noticed that. And I have been surprised a few times going to the counter as well only to find my bill being 8% more than I thought it was.

Thunderbird2 0
japanese friend of mine came up with a cracker the other day. They were looking forward or tax being 10%.....reason! because it's easier to calculate.

scouser 4
Quite a few places seem to have taken advantage of the tax increase to add a bit more on as well. And also show the prices without tax to make it look less. All I can say is pies will come on though and remind me how lucky we are.
