SKI 15
You'll probably find that the main big chunk of income for Yuzawa businesses is winter. Though it's the ski + good onsen mix that is a big attraction for Japanese. Traditionally it has been a very rich town. Don't know how that has changed in the last 10-20 years. yamaski 0
Loads of Japanese do go for the onsen though a weekend in summer is quieter than a weekend in winter. Yuzawa still gets real hot in summer.
Tubby Beaver 209
Yeah, when I went to Fuji Rock a couple of years ago it was almost unbearable.......much hotter and sweatier than Shonan, where I was living at the time

dale#1 1
It like Yuzawa, and not just because of being really easy to get to. With the skijo around the town and just outside to the north as well, there's tons of decent choice to be had,
muikabochi 208
There is for sure. More people should venture out to Ishiuchi, Maiko, Mt Granview (obviously), Joetsu Kokusai and Hakkai-san. All worth visiting.
