Tubby Beaver 209
I guess I would just be happy that there are any places that offer craft beer. It wasn't long ago that it was very difficult to get anything other than macro brew. True BM......but when they are charging 800-1000¥ it seems a bit naughty for a pissy little bottle
Alexander L 80
That's the price of rarity. Nah, not paying twice the price for all that jazz. However, a 3000Y for a craft nomihodai would be OK.
Tubby Beaver 209
Or 1800¥.....Otaru Beer nomihodai, 2 hrs
Alexander L 80
I will like that place. I think 4th Friday of the month, prob Jan, start at 6pm 'til close.
Tubby Beaver 209
I was at it last week....start at 7pm finish at 11pm But it runs a regular nomihodai everyday for the same price, 1800¥, but only 2 hrs. Good beer and well worth it as it's pints u drink, not ジョッキ's
Alexander L 80
Only 4 hours?
muikabochi 208
Here's a question. How much is in a jokki, is the chu one about a pint?
Tubby Beaver 209
No, a chu is roughly the same as a bottle....around 300-330mls give or take an extra couple of mls either way depending on how cheap the bar is. A dai is just over a pint at 600-something mls
BagOfCrisps 24
I like those great big huge mega ones. They must be at least 1.5 pints.
KlingKlang 1
I reckon close to 2 pints. One I had I think they called it a Mega Jokki. Don't know if that is an official size or not!
Tubby Beaver 209
Yeah the big ones Ive had called Mega-jokki have been about 7-800mls

yoroshiku onegai shimasu 2
Anyone tried this one called Wazen, sales point it 'goes with Janese cuisine'? Had a can of that at the weekend. It was ok. Then again I'm not the kind of person who usually noticed big differences in different beers.

Alexander L 80
Off to Seoul next week and the thought of Korean beer just depresses me. It's all bland and tasteless.
JellyBelly 1
I don't think I have had any Korean beer. What are the big brands?
