seemore 66
Doesn't even look like we have it on TV in Aus
Mick Rich 78
Not much on here either, though I've just seen on the NHK news that Japan won another skiing gold in the men's slalom!
seemore 66
At the end of the Sports on the news this morning was congrats to Toby Kane for winning Bronze in the Super G but no photos or coverage
Mick Rich 78
I guess it's because the Winter Olympics is the poorer cousin of the Summer games but it's still disappointing to see the lack of coverage that the Paralympics is getting. Edit: I did manage to catch a 30-minute highlights programme on NHK this afternoon!
Metabo Oyaji 71
Yeah, highlights seem to be about all that are being broadcast.
ProbablyaCrazyPerson 2
You know what, the reality is that any programmes don't get many viewers. People just ain't that interested.
DoctorOctopus 2
I reckon you're right. If they thought more people would watch, there'd be more coverage.
seemore 66
the only reason people watched the summer para's was because it got airtime so it would make sense to do the same with the winters if it was on i would watch it
LiquidX 0
I wouldn't.
Tubby Beaver 209
Me neither.....I barely watch the abled games
Karnidge 2
Not interested either. Think they are amazing, but I'm not interested in watching.
Mick Rich 78
Saw the highlights of the closing ceremony this afternoon and was chuffed to see some bmx riding!
Metabo Oyaji 71
Why can't the Paralympics be merged with the Olympics? Stretch the broadcast schedule out, and add some extra categories to cover the paralympic events. Seems a better solution than giving the parathletes second-rate weather conditions and third-rate TV coverage. Heck, make the whole combined thing a month-long event -- viewers would be happier, too. ProbablyaCrazyPerson 2
I agree. Seems stupid the way it is now. And on a different issue. How do the work out who competes with each other? Some disabilities are much worse than others. If that makes sense.
gnarly-dude 1
I'm sure there was some total gnarl, but I missed it all.
