It's 'deepening' quickly apparently.

All this talk of phone calls between leaders. Obama and Putin.

Wonder how those things really go? Pleasantries to start off with, chat about the weather, well done on the Olympics?

Very dangerous situation......Ive been reading a lot of information saying that the US-UK Axis of capitalism was behind the ousting of the Ukraine govt and that it wasn't as popular or democratic as western news portrays it......it's very difficult to cut through the propaganda on both sides

"PYONGYANG – In what was described as a “tense but helpful” phone call Monday night, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un reportedly warned Russian President Vladimir Putin that his recent actions in Ukraine “are starting to make you seem crazy.”

The North Korean leader urged Mr. Putin to “dial it back a little,” arguing that the Russian leader doesn’t “want to get known as some kind of lunatic.”

Mr. Kim reportedly gave Mr. Putin several constructive suggestions for regaining his credibility, including withdrawing from Crimea and hosting a celebrity basketball game."

Vladimir Putin raised the spectre of nuclear war with the West on Friday as he defied international condemnation over his decision to send thousands of Russian troops and heavy armour into Ukraine.

Accused by Europe and Nato of launching a full-scale invasion of eastern Ukraine, the Russian leader boasted to a group of Russian youngsters that "It's best not to mess with us."

In language not seen since the height of the Cold War, he told his audience: "Thank God, I think no one is thinking of unleashing a large-scale conflict with Russia. I want to remind you that Russia is one of the leading nuclear powers."

Mr Putin's comments, made during a visit to a pro-Kremlin youth camp on the banks of a lake outside Moscow, will horrify Western governments as they try to bring Russia into check. Even during the height of Cold War hostilities, few Kremlin leaders ever resorted to the direct mentions of Russia's nuclear arsenal.

Glad he reminded us!

Anyway seems like a nice bloke.
