Metabo Oyaji 71
Bummer, looks like Men's Alpine ski is not being televised today. But at least Women's Slopestyle will be.
Metabo Oyaji 71
Speaking of which, why is it called "slopestyle"? Sounds like a better name for a fashion show.
sand 17
Speaking of which, why is it called "slopestyle"? Sounds like a better name for a fashion show. especially now , where style has been replaced by robotic tricks...
muikabochi 208
So when's the curling?!
Chriselle 158
I think it's been going on....NHK online has a game or two I think today. We've talked about this before but regular TV coverage is SO Japanese centric which is the case for every country but Japan seems to be especially bad. Looking at the schedule...there is a ton of curling...

Dunga 1
They were labeling the helmet ugly in the paper here, had a good chuckle. Kids, stay in school, don't be a fool, and wear helmets whilst falling.
pie-eater 207
But... but... but surely, she only had the accident because she was wearing a helmet!! Moguls are mad. People who do them must be too. Or have special knees. Possibly both!
surfarthur 22
New Zealand Snowboarder Rebecca Torr is going for the gold this month. But she was also looking to get doubly lucky when she fired up Tinder upon arriving to the Olympic Village. As the Winter Olympics begin this weekend in Sochi, Russia, athletes from all over the world are congregating in the famed Olympic Village, sequestered together as they wait to compete in their events. But to Torr’s dismay, she still hasn’t found what she’s looking for. Torr jokingly tweeted (with a tongue-in-cheek emoji, in case you can’t see that here), It seems so far that not many Olympians use tinder.... Just wanna match with the Jamaican bobsled team But there’s still a chance. The Olympic Village Daily, a paper that runs for the course of the Olympics and is distributed to athletes, picked up on Torr’s tweet. Tinder was launched after the last cycle of Olympic Games, but Grindr (a dating app for gay men) made headlines in London back in 2012 when the app crashed almost immediately after the athletes arrived to the village. Metabo Oyaji 71
Managed to catch the re-run of the Men's Downhill on NHK. Now that's a proper Olympic sport, sheer speed and terror the whole way. Love it.
