BagOfCrisps 24
Don't reallyt have that problem in these parts.
Alexander L 80
dilemma would be a one hour bath or a two hour bath.
DumbStick 13
With the weather warming up now it's interesting how I'm taking shorter baths... actually thinking it's too hot now. Turn it down is one option, but I really like that first dip into the hot water too! Wonder if in summer it'll be showers, not baths.
Alexander L 80
You can turn down the water temperature no?
snowdude 44
Still cool enough here for baths and onsen. But I guess once summer gets here I will mostly just have showers.
DumbStick 13
The heat in the day is making a long hot bath less desirable now.....onto showers.
snowdude 44
Talking of baths off to onsen tonight while the nights are still cool enough here. Doubt it will be much longer though before it will be shower only.
DoctorOctopus 2
Do the Shiga Kogen monkeys at Jigokudani (near Hakuba, so also near Mt Fuji) sit in the baths less out winter?

dale#1 1
keep watching that for the next few months! I imagine they are in there less, surely.
@tokyo 14
Deserted! They should install a "cold bath" next to the onsen for the hot months.
veronica 2
Borderline cold shower for me now.
JellyBelly 1
I had three showers yesterday. Two of them just quick jump ins but... my sweating in the heat seems to get worse as the years go on!
NoFakie 45
I knocked back a trip to the onsen on Saturday. I'd been outside all day and was a bit sunburnt and dehydrated. It also means going with my son who runs around and acts up, so its not very relaxing. Still going in the bath at home though, with the big window open full.
frannyo 2
Coldish showers for me these days. The thought of a hot bath does not appeal.
snowdude 44
Onsen season not dead here yet. Quite cool out here. Went for an onsen sat outside for just a few mins and got cold so went back in. Oh yes so nice here still not getting hot yet. Was just 22 today even though it was sunny all day.
Thundercat 60
I would hate living in Yamanashi. Sounds like a real shithole. I'm at my three 'cool' showers a day mode. Morning, after work and just before bed. Humidity hasn't gone through the roof yet so don't mind the heat.
snowdude 44
So BM what sounds like a real shithole to you about Yamanashi I am curious? Maybe it is because it is nice and cool and not horribly humid or maybe because of all the mountains and beautiful scenary or because it is quiet and peaceful or because it is miles from anywhere? I wonder....
Thundercat 60
Actually it's because you live there. Just taking the pish mate.
634-maru 4
2-3 showers a day for me too now.
snowdude 44
It is 16oC and nice and cool so off to the onsen today was a hard one.
charlotte 0
I still enjoy a good soak in the bath. A few degrees down from in winter, but I love the soaking feeling. Showers are the quick and convenient thing.
Chriselle 158
It is 16oC and nice and cool so off to the onsen today was a hard one. I'm with BM on this one...
