grungy-gonads 54
On the subject of smoking, always think wft when I see the ashtray by urinals here. It's like... wft. Then again, I can't understand smokers anyway.

muikabochi 208
About those bath salt things. When one for example says Kusatsu on it, what link does it actually have to the onsen in Kusatsu?
634-maru 4
I really like a good soak in a bath. Didn't really until I came here and discovered the joys of the Japanese bath. A part of the day I always look forward to. The idea of a quick shower now and no bath just sounds awful.
Tubby Beaver 209
I get bored in a bath......onsens I like, but baths
Biggen 3
Anyone got a telly in their bath? Seems like a good idea to be able to watch tarento-quiz shows and stuff. Some Onsen,s in Nagoya have big 50 inch TV,s to watch will your soaking in the Onsen
Tubby Beaver 209
The onsen/sento next to Soen station in Sapporo has a large screen TV next to the rotenburo
rach 1
My friend who has just made a house has a big tv in their rather posh bath. I stayed with them over new year. It's actually really cool - it can record programmes, play them back, you can even watch movies etc recorded on the main tv recorder using their network. Pretty big too 15"! What surprised me was not only how much fun it was, perhaps the novelty, but hearing the price - under 5 man.
NoFakie 45
Sounds cool. You could fill the bath with cold water and watch Titanic. Free icebergs too, if you live round here!
@tokyo 14
Surely for that cost it's not 'fitted' though?
rach 1
No, it isn't fitted as such, and he needs to take it out to recharge, but says that's the only downside. There's just a clip on the top keeping it in place. A fully fitted on would have cost a whole lot more and also not have as many features. They record the 7 o clock NHK news each day and watch it in the bath.
grungy-gonads 54
Is it this one rach? http://panasonic.jp/digaplus/jl10t2_jl15t2/
rach 1
You know what, I think it is. Didn't see the box bit, presumbly that's somewhere not wet!!
DumbStick 13
There was a TV option in the catalogue when we ordered our bath. If I remember, the list price was over 200,000 yen, and that's without the install costs. Er, no thanks. I don't think it did the sexy connected stuff that one seems too either. Was there any lag or issues with the picture on it rach?
rach 1
No problems, DumbSticke really nice picture. Just like watching any other tv basically. But in the bath!
NoFakie 45
That device looks pretty cool. Rather than a simple bathroom tv, its a literally-portable portable tv that's also waterproof and records video. You could probably buy one for the cost of installing antenna sockets in two or three extra rooms. I hadn't thought of it, it sounds like its pretty easy to put entertainment in your bathroom using wireless.
