Chriselle 158
Ya know, I don't mind Japanese curry except that it leaves a greasy oily after film in your mouth. Especially if it cools down a bit. Really turns me off.
Tubby Beaver 209
That's the best part!! The greasier the better.....or is that just my Scottishness shining thru?!
pie-eater 207
Went to an Indian back home once and it was swimming in oil when it came out of the kitchen. Complained and they replaced it and we walked out without paying. We forgave them and are regulars now. It was I think a one-off.
Alexander L 80
I could only get the 10. It wasn't hot though, just a mild peppery tingle.
seemore 66
The ones we can get here in Perth are the S&B Golden Curry but it's loaded with MSG so haven't used again tastes good though. Is this normal with Japanese Curry?
Chriselle 158
I think so.. My wife orders Indian curry from some online store down in Kobe..I think. It's very good and authentic. It's a bit pricey but they seem to have specials quite often and that's when she orders. I dig the Dal (sp?) the best.
grungy-gonads 54
Isn't it cold by the time it gets to Shizuoka?

Metabo Oyaji 71
I could only get the 10. It wasn't hot though, just a mild peppery tingle. The 45 is a bit hard to find, actually. Probably not as popular.
Alexander L 80
I think I'll try the 30 before searching for the

Is this normal with Japanese Curry? Yes House, S&B, Glico. Even chains like Coco Ichibanya have it in their currys.
Metabo Oyaji 71
I think I'll try the 30 before searching for the 45 You've already found it. The 45 is just the 30 with that packet of extra sauce shown on the cover poured in. I'd just go straight for the 45. To be honest, the basic taste of Lee's is nothing special. Only good thing about it is that packet of booster sauce.

Alexander L 80
there's like one small lump of meat in the pack. Two smaller lumps if its broken in half.
Karnidge 2
I would prefer to find no lumps of 'meat' in that kind of pack to be honest. Is it every very nice?
Alexander L 80
I was a bit wary of the lump, but it did taste like meat of some sort.
grungy-gonads 54
Yuck. Packets of stuff with meat in, no thanks.
