gerard 6
The Secret Door after seeing it on the net. Tiny place. Cool, with decent beer. Actually I was there for work but I had skiing in the back of my mind obviously. Winter hadn't quite kicked in yet though....

NoFakie 45
About 20cm at ours. The snowplough woke me up. 47 reckon they have about 40cm of "flesh snow" at the base!
rider69 18
Still very spring like for the start of the season thus the bigger mountain ranges will suck it in a bit more. Tateyama would be nutters about now. What about Hakkaisan they are maybe getting heeps?
muikabochi 208
Hakkaisan?! I was in Itsukamachi earlier on this morning, there was about 3cm by the roads. I suspect it's getting about the same as Muikamachi is. The Ropeway plans to open 21st December. I have no doubt you know Hakuba and around there fairly well, but I don't know why you keep on claiming to know other areas well - such as the one I live in. This is actually continuing from the other (closed) thread where you were confidently telling everyone how business was going to be in Yuzawa and Minamiuonuma this season. rider69 18
Found a web cam picture might be worth a shot. The name is on the tip of my tongue but..... the place in Nigata that closes and opens for spring grrrr!!!
muikabochi 208
That webcam is actually of Itsukamachi skijo, looking over to Hakkaisan mountain. The place that closes and opens for spring is Okutadami Maruyama.
SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 177 Posted December 12, 2013 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted December 12, 2013 If you have new webcams that you think would be a good addition to our Webcam Centre, and actually ultimately want to help more people in general (who look at our Webcam page), please let us know about them. We will look into them and if possible add them to our page. But please don't just throw links around on here. Edit: I have just add that one back now to our Webcame section. Thank you. Tubby Beaver 209
The snow front seems to have reached Sapporo.....clouded right over with big grey clouds and snow is starting to fall......not any great rate at the mo, mind you
rider69 18
Got off work early and went for a lap. Hit a few of my go to stashes and they were deep. Still lots of holes in runouts quite dangerous if you are really carefull and thinkign about collapsing snow.
Tubby Beaver 209
Its been crazy dumping in Sapporo today......been on all day and doesn't look like its letting up anytime soon.
