pie-eater 207
Where are you watching it? I can't believe Abe would be anything less than Abetastic!
Metabo Oyaji 71
I switched to Tokyo MX, whatever channel that is.
Metabo Oyaji 71
Presentations over. Q&A time now.
Metabo Oyaji 71
Q1: What about the transportation route between the "Heritage Zone" and the "Bay Zone"? A (Arai): Don't worry, not a problem. Inose adds: "We know how to move lots of people around in Tokyo. No sweat."
Metabo Oyaji 71
Q2: So what about this Fukushima thing? A (Abe): No problem. We have very strict safety levels. Even the kids in Fukushima are kicking soccer balls around.
Metabo Oyaji 71
Q3: Will the venues be where they are stated to be? (?) A (Arai): Yup. (Don't really understand the issue myself.)

Metabo Oyaji 71
Wasn't impressed with either the questions or the answers, to be honest. I suspect most IOC members have made up their minds by now, though. They seemed to be sleeping through the proceedings. Will see in the morning what they have come up with. Tubby Beaver 209
Of course they have......and it's got nothing to do with tame questions and lame answers.....it's to do with how thick their envelope is

NoFakie 45
I think I'd better avoid Japanese tv for a few days. On the bright side, it means I'll be able to watch stuff like the men's 800m at a decent time on a dodgy stream on my computer. If there is any judo on at the same time, such events won't be on Japanese television. fwiw, it came out the other day that senior students at the top judo university in Japan have been beating up juniors. The head coach knew but didn't inform the university head, let alone the police.
Tubby Beaver 209
yeah I saw that on the news a couple of days ago. Judo....another shite sport to watch. I'm not a fan of the Olympics
grungy-gonads 54
I'm surprising myself by being somehow...happy. Issues aside, I'm sure Japan will put on an excellent Olympics. And it will be a good chance for many more people to, er, 'discover Japan'.
pie-eater 207
Omedeto! Though, I must express my grave concern at a comment someone posted on the daily bile site. Someone from Manchester too, so highly reliable..... ---- It will never happen, by 2020 Fukushima will have depopulated the entire country. Japan is finished. - What Really Happened , Manchester, United Kingdom, 08/9/2013 ---- I jolly well hope he's not more 'in the know' than myself. Perhaps he doesn't know about the ice wall and Dome projects?
pie-eater 207
From an Aussie too, they are usually reliable: Be one of the hottest Olympics ever.....what with Fukushima.....will athletes glow in the dark? - Richard Merrell , Blue Mountains, Australia, 08/9/2013 01:
pie-eater 207
I just heard a new word: Abenolympics! That and Abenomics, it can't fail!
