Tubby Beaver 209
A guy hiked up Coire na Ciste in the Cairngorms of Scotland and got some summer shred in on one of the last remaining snow patches.....looks like good fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34Xuj6Lzyog

pie-eater 207
They can perhaps get that funnily-named 'train' thing going up there, or for some part at least?
Tubby Beaver 209
Apparently they hiked an hour, hour and a half from the top car park. They said it was hard enough but worth it. The problem is that if there are no paths then you are hiking through heather and gorse which is difficult and energy sapping as it can be deep footfalls through the heather....although they may have just hiked the snow There are usually isolated pockets up in the Cairngorms all year round.....I think it ws only a year or two ago where they said it was the first time there was no year round snow I'm not really sure of the lay out of Aviemore, but I don't think this is by the funicular railway. That runs all year AFAIK so I'd imagine they'd have used that if they could've
