grungy-gonads 54
I think you did actually. You were reminiscing about good old Dave (and then realised that you actually did better this season without him; and finished higher than Utd).
Thundercat 60
Loose lips sink ships! Anyway, I still like Dave and wish him luck. Maybe he should take over for Wenger next to get the Toffees into the Champions league next season.

rach 1
He sounds interesting to say the least. Something to look forward to now after a really drab and frustrating season.
scouser 4
I reckon he'll be really good for United. Damn. You should have give Moyes more time. He was doing fine!
Tubby Beaver 209
If he can't be successful then I reckon nobody could. He's got a proven winning history in a couple of countries and his teams generally play nice to watch attacking football. It'll be interesting tho how the World Cup will interfere with the rebuilding of the team....that said everyone's in the same boat with most if not all the top targets busy at the World Cup
scouser 4
If he can't be successful then I reckon nobody could. David Moyes would, given another year!
grungy-gonads 54
Yeah it's a damn shame that good old Dave has gone. After all, he was a 'decent bloke'. But onwards we go! I don't know that much about new guy but he certainly looks like he'll be.... interesting! And he has the credentials.
brit-gob 9
Looking back though, Moyes was a seriously odd and very flawed choice last year wasn't he. What were they thinking?
grungy-gonads 54
It certainly was. They weren't thinking straight and need to take some of the blame. I suppose you can't blame Moyes personally for simply being way out of depth.

grungy-gonads 54
Sacked Manchester United manager David Moyes is to be questioned by police over claims he attacked another drinker with a bottle outside an upmarket wine bar.Moyes, 51, allegedly erupted in a rage after he was subjected to a torrent of abuse as he arrived with friends. One drinker is said to have goaded him about his recent sacking by Manchester United. Witnesses say Moyes suddenly turned round and lunged at Joshua Gillibrand, 23, grabbing a bottle from a table and hitting him on the side of the head. There was a brief scuffle near the bar entrance, the pair were separated and Moyes was restrained by his friends who dragged him away until he had calmed down, they claimed. Attack! Attack! Oh, hold on...
big-will 7
David Moyes, the former Manchester United manager, is under investigation by police after allegedly pushing a man who made a remark about his sacking outside a wine bar. Moyes, 51, was having a drink with a friend at the Emporium Wine Bar in Clitheroe, Lancs, when there was a scuffle involving a 23-year-old man, named locally as Joshua Gillibrand. According to witnesses, Mr Moyes, who was sacked as the Old Trafford boss last month, reacted after Mr Gillibrand “gave him some stick” about his poor record at the club. One fellow drinker described how Mr Gillibrand, who was standing outside the bar when the incident occurred, fell on some tables, sending glasses smashing to the floor. Mr Moyes went back inside and a short time later two police officers arrived and spoke to him. Mr Gillibrand, a joiner, allegedly ended up with a lump on the side of his head and a bruised shoulder but did not need hospital treatment. Officers from Lancashire Police were interviewing a number of witnesses before making a decision on whether to take the matter further. A witness, who asked not to give her name until she had spoken to the police, said: “We were at a table outside having a drink when we saw David Moyes walk past this group who were stood outside smoking. Something was said and he just shoved him. The lad fell into some metal tables and one went rolling into the road and cars had to stop. Loads of glasses got smashed and the lad looked like he hurt himself when he fell.” Peter Brass, 51, who was dining inside when he saw a commotion, added: “I go to the Emporium every night for a meal after work and I was sat at my table. One of the waitresses had pointed out that David Moyes was inside when I arrived. Suddenly I saw two uniformed police officers turn up and approach Mr Moyes’s table, where he was sat with a friend to the right of the front door. They then spoke to him at length. “The same waitress came over and told me that David Moyes had pushed somebody outside and the lad has overbalanced and glasses have been knocked onto the floor and smashed. She said the lad had been giving Mr Moyes some stick about Manchester United.” A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “Officers attended the bar at about 10pm on Wednesday and it was reported that a 23-year-old local man had been assaulted by a 51-year-old man. He did not require hospital treatment.
