Chriselle 158
Why anyone would want to be part of that, is totally beyond me. Reminds me of a garter snake mating ball..

pie-eater 207
There was a really nice chill in the air last night here. Predictably, the lady was coming out with the samuiiii! words.
Alexander L 80
15 degrees is samuiii

DoctorOctopus 2
40! Yikes. No ta.
snowdude 44
Even Kobuchisawa were we are going to lve hit 35 briefly and it usually hardly ever gets to 30. Kiyosato hit 30 briefly too.
muikabochi 208
It has been hot here, but thankfully in the lower 30's!
JellyBelly 1
We must remember, nearly over the worst of it now. Hopefully, probably.
Tubby Beaver 209
It's hot n sweaty in Sapporo as well.....I have no air con either
Go Native 70
It's all relative though Tubby. Sapporo today was 22 to 28. Plenty of places down south won't even get below 28 tonight!
Tubby Beaver 209
But it's the humidity and in the sunshine at atsubetsu stadium....it felt hotter than 28. There is no wind today either which compounds things
snowdude 44
Hit 40 here again today. Apparently though 40 is not a record for Kofu or Japan it is only a recent record for here. It was on the local news that it hit over 42 in Kofu and even hotter in some other many years ago. Despite the heat it got down to 24 last night which was the hottest night of the year for here. Temps already dropped 12oC. Tomorrow looks like getting in the high 30s again.
Go Native 70
40.9 °c (105.6 °F), recorded at Tajimi, Gifu on August 16, 2007 is officially the hottest temperature ever recorded in Japan. In this recent heatwave they got to 40.5 in Kofu.
Chriselle 158
I'm frickin fed up with it. ....
Go Native 70
You should head up north Chriselle. Rumoi only got to 25 degrees today. Abashiri only got to 22. Mombetsu only just reached 20 and over in Nemuro they only managed to get to 19 degrees. You can escape the heat in Hokkaido!
Tubby Beaver 209
While that is true.....it's cooler up here than down south......it has turned humid. Again not as much as my old Shonan home but when you are standing still and sweating, it's uncomfortable regardless of the relative temp n humidity
Go Native 70
Most years we got a period of one to two weeks of high humidity in August. It won't last anywhere near as long as down south Tubby.
Tubby Beaver 209
Yeah, that's fair enough. Right up to me leaving for LA a couple of weeks ago, when it was hot, it wasn't humid. But since coming back its been ramped up.....a couple if weeks compared to 5 months....yeah I shouldn't complain too much
muikabochi 208
sheesh hot overnight, aircon on, full blast time
Chriselle 158
Yes GN... I loved my years in Rumoi and it only really got humid for a few weeks or so as you mentioned.
