jacko 3
I very happy as I've managed to get ¥91.5 to AUD1.00 (trading rate ¥93ish), much better than any local bank here in Sydney who'd only cough around ¥87.5 to the dollar. thieves. Did you go to KVB Kunlan? They specialise in Yen. Was able to get Yen103.5/$1 back mid 2013 when it hit 105. Having been to Japan during times of Yen50/$1 and as high as 110 - 103.% was fantastic. Heading in a couple of weeks and need to grab more Yen. Yes indeed, a kvb customer! They do a great rate.

surfarthur 22
at the travelmoney place on Murray St. The travelmoney places seem to have better rates than the other places in the city, we usually wonder around a bit and check a few different ones.

gerard 6
108 yen to the dollar.......Suuuccckkksssss balls... Hmm... Maybe the yen is oversold in the short term, and there will be another good chance to buy dollars. Or maybe not. In anycase, I'd say get used to it.
Chriselle 158
As long as the J automakers are making a buck I suspect there won't be much us small businesses can do about it.
Biggen 3
Visa card withdrawals fee at 7 & I holding is close to AUD $10.00 per Y50,000 and you get the rate that markets are quoting on that day. So if the official rate is 0.97 that is what you get. With bank fee it works that you get 0.95. By February 2015 the AUD will be close to 0.88 to the yen.

I just odered an ozforex card so will be interesting to see how that goes
Biggen 3
Hi Seemore. It is not $10 per transaction. It is 2c per $1 so you withdraw Y20,000 the fee your charge would be about Y400 or $4. This is with a ANZ Visa debit card which has a chip. I have a CBA MasterCard with a chip and it will not work with the 7&I holdings ATM. This is due to the CBA for not being aline with 7 & I holding ATM not MasterCard.
Big Al 16
Suncorp Bank selling at 92.33 this morning. Not sure if that's as good as it's going to get (and so buy more Yen today) or hang out and see if the dollar bounces again?
