I can honestly say I do not budget for piss. If they charge me to pee, I'll just wazz on the pavement or on the piste where people are most likely to fall.

Oh, and I'd cover Fukushima with domes as well.

the problem with carrying a large wad around is the damage it does to your wallet when you sit down. I usually keep a wedge flattened under an ashtray in the room.

Looking back I think you'd have to say somewhere between 160 to 180 is most "normal" for the last fifteen years or so. The first time the pound went under 150 was only for a few months and the second time was after the GFC when lots of money came into Japan as a safe haven. Maybe that's effectively over now.

164/165 territory now. Compared to last season, a trip to Japan will be 20% cheaper this season for any Brits out there.

But a Christmas trip back to the UK for any Yen earning Brits is going to be alot more expensive

Spend your money in Japan! Its the fourth arrow of Abenomics!

Speaking for myself, I usually manage to resist the allure of the UK in winter. It probably has something to do with eight hours of grey daylight.

169 yesterday ....

I very happy as I've managed to get ¥91.5 to AUD1.00 (trading rate ¥93ish), much better than any local bank here in Sydney who'd only cough around ¥87.5 to the dollar. thieves.

Did you go to KVB Kunlan? They specialise in Yen. Was able to get Yen103.5/$1 back mid 2013 when it hit 105.

Having been to Japan during times of Yen50/$1 and as high as 110 - 103.% was fantastic.

Heading in a couple of weeks and need to grab more Yen.
