The signs were all there......

Didn't look like John Peel was having much of that.

He was well into the original Adam and the Ants, so the tune by the post-sellout version might have been a bit painful.

John Peel married a fifteen year old and there are various other stories, some from him himself, so he's better off dead now all this is breaking out.

The massively ironic one of course is that Janice Long got the sack for getting pregnant out of wedlock.

He even says something about young girls in his book a few years back. Am surprised nothing came up then.

Stuart Hall was tonight charged with rape and 14 counts of indecent assault.

The 83-year-old BBC television and radio presenter was arrested this morning when he attended a police station by appointment.

The rape is alleged to have been of a 22-year-old woman in 1976 and the indecent assault offences are reported to have been committed between 1967 and 1986. They concern ten girls aged between nine and 16.

It's a knockout.

Next up, Rolf.

The veteran entertainer and artist Rolf Harris is facing prison after being found guilty of indecent assault following a trial in which he was portrayed as a "Jekyll and Hyde" character who used his celebrity status to grope and abuse young women and girls.

Following a dramatic six-week hearing, the jury at Southwark crown court convicted Harris of 12 counts of indecent assault, from 12 initial charges dating over nearly two decades from 1968.

One piece of evidence not presented to the jury in Rolf Harris's trial illustrates with grim eloquence, in retrospect, the prosecution notion that the veteran entertainer was a man of two distinct sides: the avuncular and trustworthy public figure, and lurking behind, the groper and abuser.

In 1985 – a period when, the court heard, Harris was still assaulting women and remained in an occasional sexual relationship with his daughter's best friend – he fronted an educational video intended to warn young people about the dangers of sexual abuse. The film was Harris's idea, who subsequently approached a director and the NSPCC for advice.

Called Kids Can Say No, the 20-minute video, shown widely in schools at the time, used Harris's renown and rapport with young people to explain what the Australian-born star calls the difference between "yes feelings" – those prompted by properly affectionate touching such as parental hugs – and "no feelings".

"Sometimes people do things to one another that don't make them feel good," Harris explains to a group of primary school-age children before prompting them, as an exercise, to yell "Go away!" at him in unison.

Cliff!!

--

Police are searching a Berkshire property belonging to Sir Cliff Richard in relation to an alleged historical sex offence.

No arrests have been made and Sir Cliff is not at the property.

A police spokesman said the allegation involved a boy under 16 and dated from the 1980s in the South Yorkshire area.

The search is not connected to Operation Yewtree, police said, but officers from that operation have been notified.

But seriously, how come the press knew about this home raid?

Pretty bad that the crap can be thrown on someone as easily as this. Innocent until proved guilty etc?

It is pretty outrageous how this has happened though.

Seems the BBC were in on the 'raid'.
