So the JTB multi resort pass is available to buy now. It seems to have 2 extra resorts added from last season.

Last season I bought this pass and continued using it at Tsugaike and Kashimayari well into April, maybe even until May. It is a great pass for sure and I am 90% sure I will get it again this season.

On the JTB website, it seems to say that the pass can only be used until March 31st. Does this mean that the pass expires earlier than it did last season? I called the JTB staff and asked them about this (in my limited Japanese), and the old guy on the line seemed to think that it is up to each resort on the pass when they stop accepting the JTB pass for day tickets......

Does anyone know the deal with the JTB 31 resort pass this year?

NECK.

The way I read it, it looks like the March 31 deadline is for getting the pass itself:

有効期限

郵送による引換え:

■共通シーズン券:2012年11月7日(水)~2013年3月31日(日)迄

■共通回数券:2012年11月7日(水)~2013年2月15日(金)迄

スキー場での利用:対象スキー場の2012-2013シーズン営業期間に準じます。詳細は各スキー場へ直接お問い合せ下さい。

Deal being that after you pay for it on the web, you have to print and mail in the receipt you will get, along with a photo, to get the actual pass.

That has to be done by March 31. (Feb. 15 for the book of one-day coupons.)

The pass can be used at each ski area for the duration of each ski area's season.

Has anyone used this at Hakodateyama(shiga)? There is a gondola from the base of the mountain to the skijo and was wondering if that was included.

The pricing table on their web site shows that the gondola ride is included with the regular day pass (but not when using single-ride tickets).

I would assume the season ticket would give you that regular day pass, including the gondola ride.

(But, if it is something you would absolutely be counting on to make it worthwhile, could not hurt to give them a call and make sure.)
