muikabochi 208
We had a thread last year, so thought a new one this time. I'll try to find it and link later. So, resorts that are closing this time round. News from this area..... the small Koide ski hill in... Koide, Uonuma city, Niigata.... will not be opening this season. This comes on the heels of nearby 'famous' Urasa closing last season. And a few years back the skijo between the two also closed, so gradually they are getting wiped from Uonuma. Koide first opened in 1953 and was popular with locals and school trips.

MagSeven 40
Snowcruze Onze between Sapporo and Otaru has now closed for good. Not a particularly big area but was famous for always opening on Nov 11th at 11:00. The Onze in the name is the French for 11. It was usually on a narrow strip of manmade snow/ice.
