Chriselle 158
Do you have a deadline to decide by? My daughter is in grade 4 now....my wife wants her to be in Canada by JHS. So, a couple years I guess. Nothing too immediate. Thanks Pies....The shiokara is the deal breaker....I can't live without that gift of the sea gods....that's it...I'M STAYIN... Chriselle 158
Shiokara? Oh....it's really yummy goodness. BTW, is trukkin' money good? Local drivers get around $25 an hour. I have another friend up north in the Alberta oil sands who makes about double that....but that's no place for a family guy like me.
hellyer 216
Is that plus tips? Seriously - it seems a low rate for the responsibility involved
KlingKlang 1
Is shiokara that pink gooey squids innards kind of thing that smells like ammonia?
surfarthur 22
Looking online, that is about the average wage in Canada snowjunky. As a comparison, in NZ the average is around $26 and in Australia around $33 an hour.
Chriselle 158
Yes, it's nothing to get too excited about for sure but like most jobs these days....the pay comes from logging overtime. But, according to my friend you dictate your own hours...at least in his company anyway. A lot of guys are going up north and working their asses off for a few years and then come back to civilization with quite a bit saved.

NoFakie 45
But, according to my friend you dictate your own hours. None of that trucking long distance in Japan. It's all pull up at the service area at late on and sit there till its midnight and the electronic toll discounts kick in.
