OK, I have began to cruise through previous threads and started to gather details on who's going where for the 2012/13 season. I figure it would be easier for folks to hook up with other SJ'ers (if th

Nor-Cal: watch out for the Moghuls!

Hi byhart welcome to the forums. I am very jealous of your itinerarary - sounds great. You will have no problem meeting up with fellow forum shredders in Hakuba - the hakuba crew list at the start of

Spent the last few weeks planning and getting very excited. This will be our fourth trip to Hokkaido, but this year we are planning to rent a car and spend 2 weeks doing some exploring in Late Jan/ Early Feb at some of the many smaller resorts around the island.

Plan is first 3 nights around Tomamu.

5 nights based out of Asahikawa

2 night in Otaru

and the finish with a lazier 5 nights in Niseko.

Time to start learning some Japanese!

Fly into to Tokyo on the 20th of November and looks like i'll be at Hakuba for the entire season. Then backpacking around Europe for 3 months.

So far traveling solo so would be keen to meet up with some fellow shredders. I'll be looking for a job between now and when I go and have a phone interview in about two hours for 'White Horse' in Echo land.

Exciting times

You will have no problem meeting up with fellow forum shredders in Hakuba - the hakuba crew list at the start of this thread will be at least 5 times the number by the time the first snowdrop falls.

Good luck with the interview.

interview went very well. Looks like its all going ahead. Included in the deal is accom, shared when busy but solo for the most part, breakfast and dinner. So thats basically living expenses gone, and not a bad hourly rate.

Probably the best thing, he said I get to ride for at least a few hours EVERY DAY!

UNREAL!

DREAM JOB!

Cool - what sort of work will you be doing?

Little bit of everything that invloves a hotel, resturant and bar.

Making coffee, bar work, shoveling snow, cooking a bbq every friday night and driving the courtesy bus to the resorts some mornings.

Variety is a good thing

Really exciting!

MagSeven skied 100 days in Hokkaido, that's probably only 700 yen a day.

I am at Rusutsu, Niseko Higashiyama and Kiroro in late Jan & early Feb.

Unfortunately will have to miss Tomamu & Kamui this year.
