Aha! - A rare sighting of the shy and elusive purple legged Mama Bear frolicking far from her natural pastures

Ha ha LOL.

Mamabear spent the morning riding with a Tele and a Yeti this morning, some very fast turns were had!

Fun!

I see a spiders face when I look at it lol. Did you go out friday?
Me? Nah... Got the board and skis waxed and edged in Cooma on the way through, got settled in to accomodation, caught up with some friends and then had a few bottles of Dutch courage before heading into the park the next day (in hindsight a hangover and landing jumps was not a great combination).

How much longer are you at Perisher?

Hallelujah ... Today was THE day.

I've been boarding for 6 years now (gee that came around fast...I remember the time that I joined this forum never having seen snow, booked on a trip Niseko, asking if I was going to die ;) LOL)

...and in those 6 years I have NEVER seen the kind of snow in Oz that I saw today. It was EPIC!

All agreed it was like being transported back to Japan for the day.

A.MAZ.ING

On the first lifts. Freshies.

Last run of the day - fresh lines down black runs.

It does not get much better!!!

Will sleep with a smile on my face tonight!

Happy for you MB but fresh lines at the end of the day, on a Saturday, at Thredbo.........................unheard of

Must have been an extra special one.

And about 7m of cover, hey?
Now your just being silly!! ;)

Truly, it was an exceptional day.

The fallen snow was tracked out quickly, but it was dry powder and there was a classic Thredbo howling wind that created these incredible pockets of windblown perfection. Lower Little Beauty blew my mind at 4pm. It looked divine, not a track to be seen, but often it doesn't ride as well as it looked - well it did on that day!!!

I have had an overnighter in Canberra, and am back on snow today with some friends who are new to the snow.

Tomorrow the skis come out.

That should be good for a laugh.

It was all blue skies out there today.
