KlingKlang 1
Just love dogs. Used to have a black labrador when I was a kid, and then my parents got a beagle. A bit stupid (esp. compared with the lab) but cute. So who on here can make me jealous with having a dog? Unfortunately where I live pets aren't allowed, wish they were. sanjo 2
Ooh yes. But back to real dogs. Love them, but I live in an apartment and apart from the fact that I "can't", it wouldn't make sense with work etc. Hate it seeing people get dogs and then leave them cooked up in a house all day. Tubby Beaver 209
one of the teaching assistants I used to work with had a gorgeous golden retriever and she would nick off home at lunchtime to walk it etc. With retriever's being very hairy, summer time is very hot for them so she'd leave her air-con in the house to help keep it cool. She'd often come back saying that she couldn't budge the dog from the house as it didn't want to go out in the hot sun for a walk and would belligerently stay under the air-con!! Well....maybe not THAT close....but, we are waiting for contact (through a friend who has a beautiful Collie) from a breeder in Okinawa. Just decided we are going back to Canada again this summer so we might have to wait until late summer/early fall.

Go Native 70
One of the conditions I had for moving back to live in Australia was no dogs. Sure they're lovely creatures but I hate owning them.

pie-eater 207
That's why a monkey is a better bet. They can be taught to do things. Beware. Remember what happend in Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. The Apes were slaves, but rebelled and caused a right fuss. In fact, the planet actually became the planet of the apes! A lesson needs to be learned there!
Chriselle 158
Haha.....that's funny...the wife and I just watched the newest Planet of the Apes on Blu Ray last night.

gareth_oau 2
my son purchased a german shephard, which fortunately lives at his gf's house. he must be over-watering and fertilising because after 12 months: he is the son of a champion bitch and an army bomb-squad dog, and is already at 38kg and still growing!
