Looks familiar but cant place a name to it. Will put on my thinking cap

Tsugaike Kogen

That it is. Named after (and co-developed by the owners of) Hunter Mountain ski area in New York, USA.   Over to you, Muikabochi.

Really got us there Metabo.

I just looked through Fukushima, Tochigi, Yamagata, Miyagi on the maps and couldn't find one like that.

Another clue!

Yeah I bombed out on the SJ resorts search also ( well actually it was taking up to much time so I had to do some real work)

Really got us there Metabo.

Another clue!

Clue: It is not in Fukushima, Tochigi, Yamagata, or Miyagi.

Another clue coming up soon.

Hmm - 4 courses hey? - Says six on Snow Japan - no wonder I could not find it.

Aerial shot appears different to trail map also. Realy tough - unless you have been there of course

Ah well looking forward to the next one - go easy on us Andrew :friend:

Hmm, http://www.snowjapanresorts.com/ says 4 courses...

Aerial shot appears different to trail map also.

Rotate one of them around almost 180 degrees, and I think you'll find a pretty good match: the peak of the hill is to the south-east (lower-right corner of satellite view).

Realy tough - unless you have been there of course

I did give the shot with the (in)famous Mt. Asama in the background as a hint, as well as the satellite view from SJ Maps.

(Actually, I like the satellite views -- might make good source material for future quizzes.)

Perhaps I'll tone down the challenge level next time, though.

(Then again, perhaps not!)

Did you get it the way I thought someone would?

I.e., by googling "チュービングリフト"?

In any case, you're up SJ-Andrew!

Yes!

And it did kind of look a bit Asama-ish.

:)

I'll post one tomorrow morning.

Well done anyway Metabo - certainly gave this old brain a work out and I guess it does not matter how hard it is as long as hints keep coming

OK checked now and adjusted.

This is one of those places that has conflicting info out there as well as some 'what is a course?' confusion.

But it seems that the general 'official' consensus is 6 courses and 3 pair lifts. And that tubing thing.

So I have adjust so that now both snowjapan.com and snowjapanresorts.com say the same at 6 courses and 3 pair lifts.

Sorry for the confusion there and thanks for pointing out.
