That is the question.

I was interested to seeing what the potential Nikon D400 would be like as a follow up to my D300, but I am tempted by the just announced D800.

Waited for so long, so tempted.

:)

no no : it looks really good with my Rolex Daytona. Sod the autofocus.

Are your lenses full frame? If not, you'd be better off replacing them if you buy a full frame body. Shooting dx lenses on a full frame body is a waste, given the cost of full frame bodies. With Niko

356,000 yen with the new 28-300mm but FX and wowtastic spec. Over 70MB a pop for full res raw, so you'll need a fast computer and probably some big nas or other file server thingy to back em up.

Buy it and I'll give you 10,000 yen for your old camera ;)

Cheeky sod!

I have played about with Raw but not fallen in love with it really. I still find myself using the jpgs most of the time.

I could still use the DX lenses I have and still get 15+MP.

But still get onto FX.

Looks like a great way to make the move to FX.

Isn't that DX mode more in terms of pixels than your current 300, muika?
