Tubby Beaver 209
there was a thing on TV a couple of nights ago about a simulation for Tokyo when Fuji erupts. When that goes, I reckon that will be pretty spectacular.....just don't be in the vicinity!!
SKI 15
Let's hope that the TV stations remember to keep their video camera battery ready and waiting! Would be a shame to miss it!
grungy-gonads 54
3/11 was the first huge thing like this that had so much covered what with people's phones and cameras etc. I suspect that whatever happens anywhere now, at least some of it will be captured.
TheOriginalMyoko 0
There was a shindo 4 in Joetsu last night. Fairly localised not a wide one.
muikabochi 208
I read that, and last night just after midnight there was a shaker here - only shindo 2, but that's 2 more than I like! Looks like similar place as the one in March a few years ago.... Sakae/Naeba kind of area.
muikabochi 208
New 'Megaquake' on NHK now....
muikabochi 208
First up saying that small earthquakes since the big Tohoku one a few years ago have increased a lot under and around Tokyo

DumbStick 13
I enjoy watching those Megaquake series, even if they seem a bit repetative. Will give it a watch tonight. Thanks for mentioning.
grungy-gonads 54
I learned about "Slow quakes" and that Shikoku is doomed.
Saitaman 1
Watched that one. Looks like something on next weekend as well.
IIIII 2
I learned about "Slow quakes" and that Shikoku is doomed. Do elaborate?!
LiquidX 0
Considerable wobble there. Looks like it was a 6.9 in the ocean south of Tokyo.
muikabochi 208
Even felt that here in Muikamachi. Very slight wobble, similar actually to March 11th Tohoku just less intense.

snowdude 44
Was a good shake here in Yamanashi. Been a while since I felt a quake. Just when all had been quiet.

Tubby Beaver 209
Nothing felt up this way but my Facebook was awash with Kantonians reporting a large wobble. Apparently way out in the pacific
Chriselle 158
Yes, a good and lengthy wobble down here..closest to the epi.
OBLONG 0
TV questioning if it might be a precursor to something more scary
OBLONG 0
...but concluding that it isnt
Slippery Jim 65
a precursor to something more scary Well, of course it is in geological time. Sooner or later (this afternoon or 1.9 million years from now) there's going to be a mega-quake along the nankai trough that'll make 3/1/2011 look like a baby's rattle. I really think the government needs to do something to prevent this.
klingon 10
There's such things as foreshocks. People seem to agree there was a significant one a few days before 3rd March. That is probably what they were asking.
