SnowJapan Admin SnowJapan 178 Posted January 24, 2012 SnowJapan Admin Share Posted January 24, 2012 Those of you who have previously downloaded our SnowJapan App for iPhone/iPad will soon be getting a message that a new updated version is availalble, from today. This is not a major update - we just needed to make changes because of the server move, but we have also added in the new SnowJapan logo as well as making a few small fixes. Though there seem to be some issues there it might need to be uploaded as a new app (ie not an update). There are changes I would very much like to see, but unless you have a spare few thousand+ dollars and a programmers time to donate to us, I think you'll have to wait for that! Actually, while it has been "updated", we unfortunately needed to upload it is a new App rather than as an "update". (Long story, not keen to keep remembering it). So if you have the old one and wish to continue using it, please delete and download the new one up there. We absolutely wanted the current App to be "updated" to ensure that current users can simply update their current app, but due to the developer mislaying an important file that allows you to do that, it was simply impossible to do it - even after consulting with google on the matter. There was simply nothing we could do about it, which is very frustrating. The original one has been "unpublished" and the new one is now online - that was the best we could do. The iPhone and iPad Apps have both been updated and so people who already have the app installed will be notified of the update and can simply download the updated version.
