Preferably without accompanying Jon Bon Jovi song.

being smothered to death with the chabbies of 40 young virgins (all legal age of course)

So 40 fat, ugly young virgins would work? :p

Me, would like to die in my sleep after having told everyone special to me that I love them and goodnight without leaving any arguments unfinished.

Something like this.

I would hate for it to be dragged on with me being long-term unwell and imposing on people.

Friend of my parents has been living the last 4 years of his life not recognising anyone, unable to walk, unable to eat properly and generally in a sorry state.

Not only is it devestating to the people looking after or living with this situation, but it is also costing them a fortune.

That is not a way to end your life.

My pace will be staggering....I'm going to have a 24/7 Viagra boner. Chriselle will re-define "Dirty old Man".

How about this one

A father dropped dead on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro just minutes after texting his wife telling her he was 'exhausted but so happy' to reach the top.

It had been a lifetime dream of Alistair Cook's to tackle the summit of Africa's highest peak ahead of his 70th birthday, which he would have celebrated on Monday.

But just minutes after reaching the summit, he suffered a heart attack and died.

Just before his death Mr Cook sent his wife of three years, Vicky, a text message expressing his delight at his achievement.

It said: 'Reached the summit at 09.50am, feel exhausted but so happy.

I know someone in that kind of situation.

Awful it is.

The best thing for everyone would be for them to pass away but it just keeps dragging on.

Selfish bastard! He could've died at the bottom so everyone didn't have to carry his body all the way down.

Wow.

I reckon 70 is a bit early, but at least he checked out happy and quickly.

We lost my Nan (yes, a euphamism - we didn't actually lose her!) a few weeks ago.

She went to the gym up until the week she died.

Drove, lived independently, cooked for herself....

I had visited her the week before, and had been dropping in weekly for a few months, we had been really enjoying each others company.

She had a medi alert button after she lost a lung to cancer 7 years before. First time she pushed it was on the Wednesday afternoon. She was short of breath and thought that she had a chest infection. Turns out she had suffered a heart attack, which she did not feel as pain at all, and her lungs were filling with fluid as the heart muscle was dying. She hung on until Friday night to hear the result of her football teams game - literally! - once she was told the score she opened one eye, took a last breath, and died.

She had some very lucid moment over those few days - she was aware I had visited her, but when my son went she was sitting up in bed chatting and laughing and eating yogurt. Almost like she spared him the sight of seeing her suffering, but yet allowed him the chance to say goodbye.

Nan was almost 80.

Vibrant, vital and engaging to the end.

I'd be happy to have a life like hers.

Sorry for your loss Mamabear. I have a few family members that really seemed to have lived their lives to the fullest. Like you said, I'd be happy to have a life like that.
