grungy-gonads 54
Is there much of a price difference now? Often wonder why people go with Softbank or au, when to me it seems Docomo is the best choice in terms of coverage and things.

NoFakie 45
I hear Willcom have had security problems with their smoke signals.
Tubby Beaver 209
they've sorted that glitch now......apparently they weren't using fire-retardant rugs to waft the smoke

hellyer 216
I have a mate coming over to Japan for the first time & he does not have a smart phone. Does anyone know if a Nokia C5 phone will work? A few years ago my old 3g Nokia would not but are these newer ones better? I seem to recall it had to be 2100 megahurtz? Error404 0
I like the smartphones but they don't half gobble up battery energy quickly. Quite a few times I forget to charge overnight and end up with a dead phone.
klingon 10
Yeah batter life, or lack of it, is a pain.

pie-eater 207
I must agree. The way they eat up battery life really is annoying. I'd be fine with a slightly heavier phone if it gave me more.
2pints-mate 0
Just need to get into the habit of recharging overnight, that's what I do.
BeerTengoku 35
The new AU phones - photoon andevod 3d - can both be used as wifi routers due to the WIMAX. Woohoo!
Thundercat 60
The new AU phones - photoon andevod 3d - can both be used as wifi routers due to the WIMAX. Woohoo! What does that mean?
BeerTengoku 35
It means you can use it for your internet connection. Say your have some gadgets that are wifi only, say an iPod touch or iPad, you can use your phone as a router/modem for them to connect to, and voila, internet on them.
