I normally use the Post Office but can't get there during working hours these days and apparently Shinsei has a good, English-language online service. Will keep you posted! Yep, they have a brilliant service. Moreover, once you have registered an account to send the money too, you can then do transfers over the phone. Very friendly staff too. Also, there are lots of bank machines that you can use in 7/11s for free, and also at Keikyu and Metro stations around Kanto. Link to post Share on other sites

I was definitely the first person in the history of Shizuoka banking to try to do such a thing. It took an entire morning. (To the US dollar) For some reason they still have it at 74 at the bank on my base. I transfer money from my credit card to my wife via paypal in Yen so, I get the international rate. I think it basically works out the same with the fees but I earn miles at the same time.
