Gadzooks. Newcastle United have confirmed that Joey Barton has been placed on the transfer list and made available on a free transfer after heavily criticising the club's transfer policy from his Twitter account. He's already being linked with Arsenal and Tottenham. If he keeps his nose clean he could be quite a catch.

veryshocked

He's a canny player in certain situations/formations but an insatiable troublemaker.

Any of the top clubs could have had him for four million last week, so I'll believe in the interest from them when he signs for one.

Lots of talk on Schneijer or whatever his spelling is going to United the last day or two. Seems to be gaining some steam. No doubt City will move in if they think United are in there.

Blackburn made a big money signing from us, 2 million pounds for David Goodwillie!! wink Don't really think he's ready for the Premiership but I'm just glad he didn't go to 1 of the bigot sisters in Glasgow. He can take a goal though so i hope he gets a fair chance down there, can't be any worse than the mince they had up front for them last season
