6 and this was my firt time ever.

I had 2 days at Iwappara in Yuzawa.

Then 3 days in the Hakuba area - Tsugaike Kogen and Goryu.

And then a day trip up to Naeba.

Loved it and can't wait for next season.

I have been here in Japan for a long time now but this last season was my least out there. Just managed a 5 day stay in Shiga Kogen and that's it. Good 5 days though.

0.

Out of japan and not near snow.

I'm going to be back though from September and have my eye on a few 5 day trips here and there. Can't wait.

So sad to see what has happened in March.

Being in Aus for this season meant I only got in 7 days at Hakuba.

To remedy this sad and sorry situation, I have moved to Hokkaido.

45 mins from Kamui, 1.5 hours from Furano... I should be able to get a few more days on the hill this coming season...

Hi Joshnii. After a challenging year in China I've moved to Brisbane with a new company in April. Would say its so I'm closer to Japan then in WA but having grown up an hour away on the Sunny Coast its nice to be closer to life long friends and my parents. More waves too.

Have been really busy settling in, going out, buying an aprtament and working 50-60hrs a week in a moderately stressful role delievering a $10 mill project. I had schediuled a 3 week road trip through Honshu for mid Jan but that got canned by the boss last week as its now a critical time for my project due to schedule slip. :(

Still, I have my health and am working towards a few life goals so cant complain. smile

That was in response to Pete re: spending money in Aussie ski resorts.

I did 3 trips to Thredbo last year - July,August and September.
I also did a trip to Niseko in January - and a trip to Hakuba in March - both last year. So total I did 5 for last year, just that 3 of them were in Aus.

THIS year I did a week in Hakuba and a week in Niseko in January, and that is all so far. No Aussie trips booked at all yet :(

Got to all my favourites in 2011; Rusutsu, Tomamu, Kamui.

Also Furano - there's a direct ski bus from Tomamu, which they ran with only two of us onboard. Was a good link to use to get to Asahikawa.

Also a day trip to Kurodake.

In 2012 it's EU - Switzerland & Austria. Sure going to miss the offpiste powder & trees (may have to do a very late March trip to Niseko). Off to AU resorts next weekend.
