norcal 5
I should finally be able to make it to one, lineup looks good so far. Anyone going/been to one before? Any tips on going, what to bring, expect, etc? Haven't been to anything like it except for one in Okinawa a few years back (which rocked, btw). Here's the lineup: Thanks in advance! loaf of bread 0
Hmmm, Red Hot Chilis aside, not much else I'm interested in.
Schneebored 0
James Blunt is a word that rhymes with his last name. Some good acts in there DFA 1979 reunion!! shit yeah.
pie-eater 207
Beady Eye! For those going, remember to take the rotten tomatoes!
Tubby Beaver 209
Primal Scream will be good, the Strokes, Chillis and even Suede would be a good watch if they play their early 90's stuff. Beady Eye........a 3rd rate Oasis
RobBright 35
Damn am tempted by that line up. Jon Spencer Blues Explosion RAWK!
Thundercat 60
Man, that line up is like 1995 all over again... I've already seen a far few of those bands play. Might end up going though as a good friend of mine will be over from Oz at that time.
Tubby Beaver 209
Line up looks better than Fuji Rock, for the 2nd year running

norcal 5
Queens of the stone age is the only band i would see. They are awesome live. Summer sonic > Fuji rock fest lol
BillTheBinMan 0
Does David Grohl still play drums for them live?
Ctrl-Z 0
Never been to a festival like that might have to check it out.
muikabochi 208
Still haven't made it to Fuji, even though it is close by. Always is on when I am away.
pie-eater 207
Interesting looks like Primal Scream are just going to perform their Screamadelica album. Their best by far, so should be decent that.
Tubby Beaver 209
don't like Queens of the Stone Age.....too heavy US-style guitar for me. The Arctic Monkeys would be my pick at Fuji rock. Fuji Rock is a proper festival so even if the line up isn't as good, the whole atmosphere/experience would still make it it a fantastic weekend
RobBright 35
Fuji pfft.
pie-eater 207
Foreign media often seem to say how Fuji Rock is located right under Mt Fuji. How silly.
NoFakie 45
Fuji Rock seems to be closer to Glastonbury, i.e., more about the festival than the actual lineup, so would be the one I'd go to. I've only been to the reggae ones in Japan, but these festivals let you have a beer anywhere near the stage?
joshnii 2
Fuji gets some pretty big names too. Coldplay, think I've heard of them.
pie-eater 207
Coldplay are headlining Glasto as well this year.
Tubby Beaver 209
Yeah Fuji is more about the whole festival experience than the who is actually playing (although it sure helps to have good, big names playing)
muikabochi 208
I hear they serve up "fish and chips" as well. Wonder how authentic they are.
Tubby Beaver 209
my mate says they are pretty damn good
