SKI 15
Looking thin on the ground low down so good timing. Have fun up there.

iiyamadude 6
OK went yesterday. Had a lot of fun and good to be high up on the hill though the main Yamabiko courses weren't open as they aren't operating that main Yamabiko lift yet - thats next week. Still, much more open and a lot of snow up there. Spring conditions, but what can we expect for late April!
Wizz 11
What was the deal with damage done by that Nagano earthquake iiyama? I presume lifts not affected if they are opening them up again or have they been fixing them up mid season?
iiyamadude 6
I really don't know Wizz. I'm presuming the lift thing can't have been too serious if they are re-opening next week.
Mintyjulep 0
I think it was the main gondola had some damage, and the golf course covered quad. Which one is fixed? I'm glad to hear they're ending the season on a high note
SKI 15
Golf course quad? You mean Uenotaira? It's open now. Gondola too.

iiyamadude 6
Well, a tiny area is home to what they call "Mallet Golf". Saying it's a golf course is perhaps stretching the imagination somewhat!
rider69 18
It is the longest most boring part about Nozawa but that would be one short golf course. Maybe 2 narrow holes max. Isn't that area also a mountain pass road also?
iiyamadude 6
Like I said above, it is not a proper golf course. It's like a really small pitch and putt area, called "mallet golf".
Error404 0
Bet it's nice and cool up there in summer.
Mintyjulep 0
Ok, Mallet golf course. I actually enjoyed it for just warming up, I had a few problems with my calf muscles while we were there so it was always nice to have that cruisey little run to warm up on. Mr Minty hates it.
