TropicalPow 0
14] Do expect the best on mountain food you've had in your life. Enjoy the quirkeness of buying a ticket or token for said meal. Have a chat to the people serving you, plenty of alpine legends run these mountain cafes.

joshnii 2
18. Expect to hear J-Pop on the loudspeakers. Or perhaps 80's UK pop. Or big-hair Europe The Final Countdown.

Mick Rich 78
I'm sat in a cafe (with free WiFi - perhaps I should edit no. 16) and have fallen in love twice in an hour - once with a snowboard I've just seen on eBay and the second time with an almond cake thingy! cafe update:- & now for a 3rd time but this time she's real flesh and blood - I wonder if she thinks I'm David Beckham?? panhead_pete 27
17. Be flexible. If the snow sucks go do your sight seeing to Kyoto/Tokyo etc then head back to the snow. Did this last year and again this year. This year looks like paying off in a BIG way!

If people are coming to Japan to experience it, a side trip would be critical to that especially if all you are seeing is Niseko or Hakuba. I really rate Kyoto. Over Tokyo now, but both would be better. Stinky IS real and I'm in control, its not an issue - really
