klubhead 0
hey snow friends just back from kagura! still lots and lots of snow at the top. early morning ( ie 7 am!! ) was really good, the snow was nice and fast. lots more skiiers than boarders resulting in building size moguls - what is it with skiiers and moguls?? however, was a wicked end to a brilliant season. montoya 0
Sounds like a good trip. If you have any pics post them up! Looks like Kagura/Mitsumata is open till May 29, so we are gonna get in a few more days also.
grungy-gonads 54
Is there much left at the Mitsumata part as well or are they taking you up to Kagura by bus?
BagOfCrisps 24
On the maps Kagura looks fairly close to Nozawa is there a quick way from one to the other?
joshnii 2
No, there isn't. Naeba > Yuzawa > Ishiuchi > Tsunan > Nozawa is the closest (I think!), probably about 2 hours drive.
klubhead 0
got some wicked pics... how do i upload them??? i took the ropeway from the car park up to the family course ( mitsumata ) then a scoot down the gondola. . same as usual. i used a super slick graphite wax and was flying over the snow... did a few runs through the trees and had a few scares ( open holes anyway?? ).... definetely worth going up again!!! nzlegend 1
upload them to Image shack its very handy and it auto generates all the codes etc so you can cut and paste really easily to another site. plus you can upload zip files of a stack of photos and not have to upload them indivddually.
joshnii 2
It's a strange one that lift. What is the reason they don't open it - "safety"?? I'm sure they used to open it more in spring time.

Fattwins 0
Kagura must be pretty high up there.
montoya 0
about 1600 meters where they're standing (near the #5 romance lift that nevers move), I think around 1980 meters from where we dropped in.
mattlucas 0
Not very high but I guess the shitload of snow they got over winter is sticking around. Where I am and go skiing the snow isn't skiable below 2000 metres. Even higher on some mountains.
