grungy-gonads 54
Shut up! It kind of tastes ale-y.
RobBright 35
Safe answer - today is beer day, thinking either a Asahi The Master or some Sapporo Classic. Votes please...
sanjo 2
Too difficult.... have both.
RobBright 35
Reminds me. Had this the other day: Kind of forgettable really, hence why I forget to post it I guess.
Tubby Beaver 209
Yeah i tried that as well......its more ale-y than a regular lager....I didn't add ice to it
BagOfCrisps 24
What does it say?
RobBright 35
It's ice beer - fill a glass up with ice, and then add beer. gimmicky really. today I am drinking this: The large can, naturally.
RobBright 35
Mmmmm incredibly smooth, crisp and easy drinking. No real discerning smell neither.
pie-eater 207
Looks good. Went to an Italian restaurant this evening. Very nice food. (Way too) expensive Italian beer which was ok but definitely nothing special. Back home now and cracked open a tin of bitter.
Ezorisu 0
Peroni? Moretti? Moretti Dark perhaps? Peroni is probably the best (least nasty?) amongst those three.
pie-eater 207
You know what, I don't remember. It made that much of an impression on me. 3 quid for a small bottle of totally forgettable beer. Rubbish.
pie-eater 207
Just cleaning out the wallet (which is full of recepits, empty of bank notes )... it was Moretti. Rubbish.
RobBright 35
Pish water. Akin to Bud or Becks.
pie-eater 207
Yes that's the one. Rubbish. Thing was, the food was really good in this restaurant and not skimpy in volume either. Very good value. Then they charge 3 quid for a glass of beer. Winds me right up that does.
BagOfCrisps 24
Did you adjust your tip appropriately, pie-eater?
pie-eater 207
oh yes. Actually on that subject my friend and I had a bit of fun with that from when we went in, and wanted to evaluate the service we got so we could make an informed decision re: tips. So service-wise this is what we got..... Not impressed: - a moody waitress took our order; - a moody waitress brought our drinks; - a moody waitress brought our food and plonked it on our table. Overwhelmingly impressed: - we didn't have to cook our own meal; - we didn't have to go and 'collect' our meals; - the main waiter had a very nice smile and smiled at us at least once; - he came over mid-meal to ask us whether everything was ok. Taking all that into account, my friend desperately wanted to give this restaurant some extra of his hard-earned money on top of the price of the meal (and glass of beer-gold). But I convinced him otherwise.
BagOfCrisps 24
You should have been dropping a tenner for that, pie-eater.

brit-gob 9
I agree, a nothing beer.
grungy-gonads 54
Italians. They can do food pretty good, but the beer is rubbish. As has been said.
