I would like a bit of feedback from people who have used our Places to Stay section.

It would be interesting and useful for us to have some feedback on how you contact the places - do you use the form on the page, or call them, or send a direct email, or visit their website and visit from there?

Here's a poll. You can choose more than one result.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

If there is enough data on the SJF site, then will email directly; otherwise, will go their site, and then email through there.

Sometimes the prices they put on the SJF can be ambigious, or perhaps I just don't understand.

E.g. one place put 35,000yen for a villa. Is that per night or per week as it doesn't say on their ad.

Not meant as a dig or slight or snidey comment, just an observation that the place should think about.

Yes it is a good point and we do ask people to provide as much info as possible, but it is not ultimately something that we are responsible for.

As you know there are these various ways in which you can contact a place - our system is not 'locked down' to the form on the page. It would very probably be to our advantage to have it like that because then a listing will know very clearly how many enquiries they are getting directly from us. But we don't think that is particularly the most convenient for people viewing the info and it is best to offer different ways to make contact. We suspect that a large percentage of people actually do use other ways to contact a place.

We just hope that when people do contact places via methods other than the form on the page, that they give SnowJapan a mention friend

* (but know that they often don't) doh

Thank you.

We used the Places to Stay Page often. We go onto it and read up about the resorts that look like they may interest us. Then we go back their websites and do some more study, then we will either email direct from their web page, we ALWAYS let them know that we got onto them via the Snow Japan website or if there is no emails or returned emails we go through Snowjapan contact. thumbsup
