mikelowry 0
Just a heads up. AirAsia is launching flights from KL to Haneda. $37 each way! Just did the sums for a return flight to Tokyo from Perth including boards and baggage - $500. Check it out.

Thundercat 60
That promotion ends Oct 31st. I'd like to hear if anyone actually gets a chance to ride for that fare... I'm not very confident in these kinds of 'promotions' any more.
thursday 1
AirAsia - truly Asia
NoFakie 45
It doesn't look like you can book it yet on AirAsia's website. They don't even have a Japanese page. No schedule either, though the press release said three times a week. If they go on sale, stick a message up here please!
RobBright 35
Was on the news today - 5,000yen to KL, 50k return to the gold coast, 4k to Beijing.
grungy-gonads 54
Small print: Valid for up to 5 people a day; 20,000 yen tax applies; Gasoline extra, $1 a mile; 5000 yen a bag; 1000 yen to use the toilet. Oh, and you're standing up!
thursday 1
you forgot 3000 Yen for a beer.
BagOfCrisps 24
How much is the toilet paper? I read that the 5000 yen was for no more than 15% of seats on a flight.
mikelowry 0
Flown Air Asia quite a few times. Not too bad and good prices for sports equipment and excess luggage. Sale starts on their website tomorrow. Only runs for 3 days though. To the cynics, don't worry about it, pay your extra $1500 ignorance tax if you like.

NoFakie 45
Sale starts at 12 noon tomorrow (23rd). I'm kind of tempted but not this time. Any attempts to bring the cost of flying down for Japanese or Japan-based punters get a from me. I'm sick of being ripped off.
iiyamadude 6
Yep me too. Being ripped off is one of the worst feelings.

Schneebored 0
So out of interest I just looked at this deal to see how it compares to my already booked Qantass direct overnight flight. For my travel dates KL - Haneda return costs $300(ish) not including any baggage. On top of that I still have to pay my Perth - KL flight which will be a max of $300 rtn. All up i would probably save $300. I think I will stick to my direct flight which is around 6 hours quicker. I guess the savings are to be had if you dont care when you travel.
