RobBright 35
Because the skiing/snowboarding market has been declining since the bubble burst I thought?
iiyamadude 6
Yes.... increasing the prices to further alienate the largest, by far, domestic market sounds like a really smart idea. Lets get the total numbers down to 20% what they were 20 years ago, rather than the 30% they are now at major resorts now.
RobBright 35
As long as there are fewer skiers in my way, then yes, lets reduce.
thursday 1
actually, I'd like a resort to have no drunken mutant thugs. So I'd be the only one.

Jynxx 4
I'm going to play judge because you are a spring chicken. All good and valid questions, and inquiring minds sounds comical. As to you ski, calling an inquiry ignorant is the dumbest ass comment I ever heard. No ones giving you an lesson here and you are been laughed at.
SKI 15
I realise you have real problems understanding English and writing it so that others can understand what you are going on about, Jynxx... but if you see I wasn't actually commenting on "an inquiry". Anyway, I do find your posts sometime amusing in that wtf kind of way. So do keep it up!
Jynxx 4
Well in this case, I find it strange that you either don't understand english, (hence, you are acting this way) or you have a brick wall or something in your brain or have issues ... I mean ski, whadda ya on about talking about "market is there"? Of course it's there. There are people who ski, and snowboard. You might be working in the industry and have first hand management job or a back seat driver. But neither you or minty or I have no objective here other than questioning and chatting away, so don't start up-staging your self. A few people does that on this forum - need to go get stoned. iiyamadude 6
After that tiresome interlude..... ttuchin, I see you ski. That means that both the extreme parts of Shiga Kogen - which are both skier only - are open to you of course. Both areas are good. I like Yokoteyama there's some nice tree runs there though the lower part is very gentle. Okushiga / Yakebitaiyama is a bit area in the north and you can spend a fair while exploring all that lot. RobBright 35
Keep skiers areas as skiers if they do not want to socialise let them - they will come running when the number of skiers drops below sustainable levels. And due to their ignorance over the years, snowboarders will not know when they change their policy.

RobBright 35
Okushiga numbers of snowboarders have been rising compared to those with skiers.
iiyamadude 6
They are well aware of snowboarders. Just because they decide to market to a different group of people does not make them ignorant.
RobBright 35
But if the number of skiers drops to unsustainable levels, then they might have to market to snowboarders, no? But why do they cater to skiers? Perhaps they feel that snowboarders are dangerous, which indicates ignorance if they decided to lump all snowboarders together due to a minority group. Personally, any segregation puts me off, and even though this is just one person's opinion, I would be less inclined to go to a place that suddenly opens up to snowboarders, because they need money.
